So it’s “Back To School” time again!
Now is a great time for Children to have back-to-school Spinal Check-Ups before their schedules get busy.
Soon students will be sitting in classrooms, playing sports and carrying heavy backpacks again. Add to this, increased time at computers and video games, and spinal problems can develop.
Kids Need Chiropractic Care Too!
Postural Evaluations, Scoliosis Screenings and Chiropractic Spinal Adjustments, should be done periodically on kids to prevent spinal conditions from occurring later on as adults. It’s amazing how many adult patients I see and treat whose spinal problems began when they were much younger.
Backpacks should weigh no more than 10%-15% of the childs weight, shouldn’t hang below the waist and should be worn wearing both straps. Weigh the backpack on the bathroom scale to check. A 100 pound student should carry no more than 10-15 pounds.
Chiropractic care is a natural, safe and effective spinal treatment for children. Make sure Elementary, High School and College Students are “Well Adjusted” before school and sports start up again.
